The guardians got bigger. You didn't.

New companions to help with the getaway, bigger guardians to get away from, and a better-looking world to run through. Here's what changed over 6 to 7 November.

A few new faces

Donkeyote, Goosemoose, Kiwink, and Fennthorn have moved from artwork into the development build, with their eggs and animations. There are now a few more reasons to take an egg that isn't yours.

Donkeyote also brings Endurance when following you, helping your running stamina last longer. Handy company for a game in which a large part of the plan involves leaving.

Antlers at the lake

Goosemoose belongs at Ripplewater Lake. Broad wings, a long neck, and a substantial set of antlers make it fairly easy to spot.

As a following pet, Goosemoose brings Tide rider to help you swim faster. If your route home involves water, that's a useful friend to have along.

A little help getting away

Kiwink joins the creatures of Acorn Woods. Its long bill is good for nosing through leaf litter; its Fleet foot benefit helps you run faster while it follows you.

You can only take one active companion at a time, so choose between help with stamina, swimming, running, or another pet's benefit before heading out. Looking adorable is a bonus.

About those guardians

All 14 biome guardians are now 25% bigger. Labraduck, Mooroo, Dandylion, and Dragorilla have refreshed models as well.

The eggs haven't got any less tempting. The thing watching them has simply become harder to ignore.

Nicer scenery for your escape

Acorn Woods has new leaf and bark textures across its trees, and we fixed a small gap at the tip of the pine. Do try to appreciate the woodland while sprinting through it.

The Jungle's ocean entrance has more connected sand and water along the coast. A little space has moved from Forest to Jungle, too, without making the overall journey longer.

Over at Lost World, a partly buried Triceratops skeleton now marks the beach landing. It's scenery. If it starts chasing you, something has gone very wrong.

Know what you are hatching

Creature information now includes a separate Animal combination field, so you can see the two animals behind each design alongside the species description.

These are changes to our development build. Gameplay testing and polish are still ahead.
